This ranking provides a comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022 is the fourth edition, and the overall ranking includes 1,406 universities from 106 countries. The Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S. News measures institutions academic research performance, based on 13 indicators inclusive of their global and regional reputations. Under this ranking, UMP is ranked at 1058th globally, at 285th in Asia and at 9th in Malaysia. In addition, UMP is also recognized by placing itself at 173th for Energy and Fuels subject; 343th for Engineering subject and 734th for Chemistry subject.
