INTRODUCTION

MyULIS is an abbreviation of Malaysian Union List of Serials. It is a database for academic libraries under PERPUN (Persidangan Perpustakaan Akademik dan Perpustakaan Negara). It is a portal for a list of journals, magazines and also online databases that is subscribe by all academic libraries. Membership for MyULIS has also been extended to other special libraries.

MyULIS is a one stop center for users in informations searching for journals, magazine subscription and online database. Online searching is easily done and the information received through interlibrary loan is more systematic and effective.

MyULIS is a collaboration project between universities under PERPUN. UMP is the moderator and are responsible in developing and the maintainence of the database server.

2. To provide service for academician, lecturer, researchers and librarians between universities. Users are also able to refer to the collection list of journals, magazines and online databases provided by MyULIS.

3. Providing fast and accurate information to users on the availability of items, locations, holdings statement and contact persons (Reference Librarian).

4. To create and encourage information sharing between academic libraries.
