"DEVELOPING DISTINCTIVE CAREER THROUGH GRADUATE STUDIES"INTRODUCTION TO GRADUATE STUDY Graduate study is integral to the core business of a university. Provisions of graduate studies enable a university to transform its students into highly trained and knowledgeable professionals. Such professionals are capable of embarking on R&D activities and of meeting industrial and organizational related challenges. The development of these professionals certainly helps meet the human resources requirement of the country. For those involved, graduate studies would prepare them to develop a distinctive career. The additional knowledge and skills acquired trough graduate studies would put them many steps ahead in the forms of abilities to meet employer’s requirement. Graduate studies would also make individuals more confident and independent to embark on entrepreneurial activities on their own, as entrepreneurs or within an organization as intrapreneurs. Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is committed toward facilitating highly motivated individuals to develop distinctive career through graduate studies.
